YOUR INVITATION TO an Unforgettable Luxury Retreat to India awaits

Unlock the Treasures of Indian Design

Created for the culturally curious and historically minded, this journey is for those drawn to architecture, thoughtful design, and lived tradition, and who travel to deepen how they see the world.

Embark on a journey through India’s vibrant design legacy, exploring iconic cities shaped by cultural richness and architectural wonder. From the bustling streets of Delhi to the timeless beauty of the Taj Mahal in Agra, the majestic forts of Jaipur, and into the wild landscapes of Ranthambore, where nature becomes part of the story, each stop reveals a distinct expression of India’s enduring artistry.

Itinerary Highlights

Delhi

Old and New Delhi unfold in layers. We move between historic quarters and contemporary enclaves, with time for inspired sourcing, private design workshops, and exceptional dining. We wander Chandni Chowk for textiles, antiques, and craft, dine in atmospheric havelis, and immerse ourselves in the soulful rhythms of Sufi culture for a deeper sense of the city’s spirit.

AGRA

In Agra, we go beyond the Taj Mahal to understand the art behind it. We visit master craftsmen practicing traditional marble inlay, learning how semi-precious stones are cut and set by hand into white marble, a technique passed down through generations and still practiced with extraordinary precision.

JAIPUR

Palaces, craft, and quiet spectacle. We stay in regal settings, take part in block printing and blue pottery workshops, explore Amber Fort and City Palace, and float above the city at sunrise in a hot air balloon. We visit Jaipur Rugs and travel to the villages where weaving takes place, before spending unhurried time in Jaipur’s vibrant markets for traditional crafts and textiles.

Ranthambore

Ranthambore offers a shift into the wild. We stay in a beautiful, thoughtfully chosen property, heading out on early morning safaris in search of tigers. Afternoons are slow and restorative, with evenings designed for rest, reflection, and reconnecting with nature’s rhythm.

About Your Host

NIKITA MADHYANI

Hello,

I’m Nikita Madhyani, New York based creative director of NM Design Studio. India is both my heritage and a place I am continually drawn back to, shaped by its craft, history, and the way life unfolds through colour, ritual, and design.

My connection deepened while hosting my first retreat, an experience that revealed the warmth, generosity, and richness of the culture in a deeply personal way. I returned soon after, spending extended time living and working across India, building close relationships with artisans and workshops whose traditions continue to shape my work.

That time led to the creation of my lifestyle brand and its first collections, developed slowly and in close collaboration. Since then, I have returned again and again, moving through the country with care and familiarity rather than as a visitor.

The retreats I curate reflect this way of experiencing India. Thoughtful, immersive, and rooted in genuine connection. From time spent with artisans to carefully chosen places to stay and gather, each journey is designed to feel considered and human.

I invite you to experience India as it has been shared with me.
